Guilin Tour

Hey!I'm back from GuiLin.I enjoyed that vacation so much in overall and GuiLin is actually way beyond my expectation, especially the Merryland.(They say that it is the Chinese Disneyland)i never expected anything like a theme park in GuiLin.(Although i didn't play many games there, cause no one in our tour wanted to accompany me...T.T,cause most of the tour members are senior citizens...).Other than that,i really indulged in the beautiful scenery of GuiLin.I've uploaded some pictures that will prove my point just now...

NIGHT VIEW OF GUILIN

RIVER VIEW OF GUILIN

HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL SIDE OF GUILIN (GUILIN IS A PLACE WHERE THE ABORIGINES FORMS THE MAJORITY,SO WE CAN EXPERIENCE A DIFFERENT CULTURE THERE)

THE BEAUTY OF THE CAVE

TRADITIONAL METHOD OF CATCHING FISH (USING A KIND OF BIRD WHICH TAKES FISH AS STAPLE)

STREETVIEW

RIVER CRUISE

BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE OF GUILIN

MERRYLAND (CHINESE DISNEYLAND)

In general,i think that GuiLin is a place that must be visited especially those who are amazed by its beautiful scenery and GuiLin has more to offer as time goes by when tourism is developed spontaneously.GuiLin is easily accesible and affordable as AirAsia flies there but just prepared to take an early flight. The people there are generally friendly as long as you have money in your pocket.(Just kidding...it happens all around the world)Beware of bad hats and be alerted to take good care of your personal belongings.Things there are resonably affordable but remember to cut down the price, especially in non governmental shops...GuiLin is famous for Chinese herbs and medicine products like watermelon frost(西瓜霜),LingZhi...but please buy from government recognised shops(They will bring you there anyway as it is compulsory for tour groups to visit those places)
p.s. : I'm not hired by any organisation or tourism board to promote GuiLin...

One Week Holiday...

HaHa!!!Yeah!!!I've been waiting for this moment for weeks!!!HOLIDAY!!!Although it will be only a week before the 4th term starts, but for me it is more than enough(Haizz...who doesn't want the holiday to be as long as possible?) You guess what will i do during this holiday?HaHa...yeah i'm on vacation again(I think i should be travelling around as a tourism student needs to know more about what is going on in this industry.Perhaps it is just an excuse.HaHa...).
This time i'm going to Guilin,China.I heard that it is a very beautiful place with breathtaking sceneries, just like what you can see in normal Chinese painting on landscapes.Although i admit that i'm not really interested in watching beautiful sceneries, but i think i should give it a try(It is better than not having any chances to travel to anywhere.HaHa...).Although the AH1N1 is still spreading all around, but i think i shouldn't be too concerned about it.(Or should i take it more seriously?)Besides, the price of the package is consider cheap as a result of stimulating the industry facing the threat of H1N1 as well as economic depression(Although some think that the recession is over).So.i think it should be ok if i have taken all the necessary precautionary steps.
I'm leaving Malaysia in about 15 hours from now.It is about 6.40 am in the morning.Yes,you can believe your eyes,a 6.40 am flight. It means that i have to be at LCCT(I'm taking Air Asia) at 4.40 am and it also means that i have to depart at 3.40 am from my house. So,I have to wake up at 3 in the morning.Gosh......I think it is probably the earliest flight i will been...But never mind.Just give it a try...(the same line always...)
Hey i think i better cut it short.I will post some photos after i come back!
BON VOYAGE !!!

End of the 3rd term......

HiHi! I know that it has been ages since i updated my blog!I was really busy and that is not my excuse! It just that i had my 1st year end exam, which i have to pass in order to proceed to the next term.If not,i will have to study all over again from the 1st term...so,what i did was study...study and study...and later i found out that my "hard work" was just rubbish when i saw that the question asked during the exam was way beyond my ability of understanding them......haiz....i think i better stop talking about that...it will just make me...URRGGHH....All right....let's talk about the others...i have finished my 3rd term which is also the first year. But the thing is i have to continue my class after a week of holiday. So,i wondered what is the meaning of setting the third term as the last term of the "First Year"?To conclude this term,i think that i have learnt lots of new things (of course i have to!That's the main reason for me paying that much money to the college!!!).Especially our tour organised by our very own BDT 32 students (That's the name of our class, means Bachelor Degree of Tourism Management and Engineering Batch 32.A batch is a name given to classes according to the time of intake. For example,i am January 2009 intake and i'm in batch 32,then if a student is in April 2009 intake,he will be Batch 33.Got it?) Our trip was going to Jeram Besu and Kuala Gandah on the 22nd and 23rd August. They are both located in Pahang and i guess you have never heard that names before?Yeah!it is actually a new place and Kuala Gandah is an elephant sanctuary where you can meet up close and personal with the elephants while Jeram Besu is a place full of adventurous activities like jungle trekking and many more.Altought our lecturer got so much hope on us because no other classes in the history organised trip like this,So,it should be quite interesting to everyone but unfoutunately we didn't manage to sell all the seats (only 20 out of 40).As a result,we are the first class to make loss in our trip.Haizzz...But luckily i found the trip way much more better that i forst thought i would be...i really enjoyed my self, epecially a segment called 4 Wheel Drive, where we had to stand at the back of the 4 wheel drive and gone though lots of damn bumpy road,I feel that it was my bumpiest ride ever in my life, even more happening than riding a roller coaster and once in te life time experience!Really should recommend it to my friends. And it was also my first time standing in front of the bus and talk like a tour guide...haha...that was really scary actually, although there was only 20 passenger on board...haha...i think i should stop...maybe i will talk i more detail when we are out YUM CHA...HaHa...OK...let's talk about my college life.My class are getting smaller and smaller each term (0ne term is around 11 weeks).I remember that we have 15 students in my class and now only 9 left...and guess what...i'm the only boy in the class now.......dunno it is a good news or bad news? And to be honest,i have thought about quitting the course, because i don't feel like it is worth for me continuing my studies there...because since our class is so small,so it is normal that there is very few students in class. And it did happen very frequently. It makes the lecturers lazy in lecturing us......And i remember advices told to me by one of my lecturers in 1st and 2nd term.He was used to be the regional manager for Air France. He taught me Airlines Transportation (Theory) and Toursim Information Centre (Practical & Theory) before. He said that my class is one of the worst class he ever had, because he can see that most of my classmates are not really concern and serious about their studies. And they don't deserve to be tourism oficers since they don't even posses the basic requirement of a tourism officer, which is punctuality. This is because most of my classmates always late for class. And my mom asked me whether i wanted to change course before since there is so few people in the class...What should i do?Continue or...quit?If i quit, what should i be studying? If i quit,it means that i have wasted the previous 9 months...haizz...that's my character-get influenced by others too easily...

End of 2nd term...

YoYoYo!!!What it is?What it is?It's me!!!Long time no see!!!It has been 2 months since i updated my blog.I was stucked with tons of assignments that i forgot the existence of my blog......But never mind because i'm having holiday from now on.YEAH!!!Let's review my term 2 life in Taylors. To cut it short,it has been a term full of excitment because i have experienced something that i have never done before in my life.
First,it's the Mr & Miss Tourism Taylors. It's more and more like a beauty pageant where we have to do a cat walk,a talent show and of course the Question and Answer session. And guest what?I took part in that competiton, and of course, not on my will......and so i have done things like cat walking on a stage, dance on a stage which was my first time doing that. And the best part is i was dressing in an Arab style costume......HAHAHA!!!Doesn't sounds like something that i'll normally do,Huh?So,it was kind of fun for me.
Next,i got the chance to shoot a short film. This is actually my moral assignment where we have to shoot a film on HIV-AIDS.All the films from each group will be shown to the people in Taylors and all the films will be judged and awarded.I was also starring as the father of the leading actress in the film. HaHa!!!I admit that it was hard for me because i was keeping NG and NG all the time, because of forgetting my dialogue.Haizzz, but finally my group came out with a film and Guess What?We won an award!!!YES!!!GOOD JOB!!!
Then,i visited the Kuala Selangor Firefly Park which was my forst time going there. It was also a part of our assignment for another suject. The aim of the assigment is for us to concern about the eovironment.I was very impressed by the fireflies as i have never seen fireflies before. It was very nice and it looked like christmas trees when the fireflies were on the trees all along the Sungai Selangor.I heard news saying that the population of fireflies is decreasing and decreasing.I think we should preserve the envronment there in order to let our next generation to experience the beauty of fireflies.
Other than that,i didn't have any problems in my studies here as the subjects like accounting, maths, economics etc are still consider easy but i know that those subjects are going to "level up" when i proceed to next term. And i'll be having an exam which includes all the things that i've learn in 3 terms next term......Haizzzzz......But who cares?HaHa....Let it be..let it be.....Ah,not forgetting the AH1N1 that concerns most of the people now.Precautionary steps must be taken in order to stay away from it.Wash your hand frequently, cover up your nose and mouth when your are sneezing......TAKE CARE EVERYONE!!!!!!!

new semester & gathreing...

It's been a week since i started the 2nd semester of my studies in Taylors. The 2nd semester is much more tougher as what i have expected, with 8 subjects which is more than 7 of the last semester. And the first class is always 8am or 8.30am for everyday except Thursday, and i end my class at 4pm-5pm everyday, which is more exhausting that the previous term.In addition,i have Math in this term, which is always been a nightmare for me.And also Economics and Accounting.Although i have studied these 2 subjects before, but i have a very annoyed feeling about these subjects...The lecturers this term are quite good with 2 of my lecturers last term continued to lecture us this term. But one thing that i worry now is my result of the last term.It should be out tomorrow if i am not mistaken. What should i do if i have to retain in term 1......T.T All right, change of topic.I went to a friend gathering yesterday at The Gardens. It has been at least 2 months since the last time we met,so i am quite excited about this gathering. We had our lunch in The Gardens and we talked about what we have been up to recently.Half of my friends have started their studies in their respective uni or college and i am happy that they are doing quite well in their studies. While for my friends who hasn't continued their studies, they are waiting confirmation from Singapore unis and one of them are going to study in Hong Kong!WOW!I wish i could study overseas like them but i know that it won't not be easy.We spent 3 hours in the restaurant which we spent most of the time chatting and taking photos and not eating...After that,me and all the boys headed to the next destination while the girls didn't follow. We continued our conversation about our "future plans" and at about 5 pm,we ended our gathering and went home.I really appreciate any friends gathering because the chances for us to meet each other is getting lesser and lesser as time goes by.
我们一起加油吧!!!
